I have taken the plunge and created my first photobook. It’s called STONE DREAMS OF THE SEA and features 56 original photographs taken along the shorelines of Mi’kma’ki.
The idea for this collection first took shape during a walk along the beach at Taylor Head Park on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. The extraordinary rock formations – fossilized currents of long vanished seas – got me thinking about all the large and small cycles of time that define our landscapes. The images attempt to invoke both the ephemeral moments of weather and tide and the great sweep of geological time that has shaped these shores.
The collection of images first came together in 2025 in a small exhibition of the same name at Tides Gallery in Kentville.
Starting this September, printed copies will be available for sale at the ViewPoint Gallery in Bedford.
The hardcover version of the book includes a limited-edition 4.5” X 4.5” archival print of the back cover photo.
